Modal jazz trio with laid-back swung pulse, sparse piano comping over walking contrabass and brushed drums; verse opens roomy and conversational, pre-chorus lifts with denser piano voicings and shifting bass color, chorus settles into a hypnotic, chant-like motif with subtle scat echoes. Short instrumental turnarounds between lines, soft ride cymbal shimmer into each section, intimate close-mic vocal with airy doubles on the hook, warm smoky mix with natural room resonance.
