I observe,
How you tremble,
How you die.
And I don't wish to see thin blades
In this palm of yours...
Nor blood flowing from glass tubes
Onto the snow-white shrouds of your body,
That stir these incomprehensible feelings in my heart.
And your hair, though short,
Is more fragrant than anyone's here.
I won't find better among many.
You are more hidden than an impregnable wall,
That protects all of you, your beloved songs, books, names.
I ask for your apologies in advance.
But just allow me to compare you, and me.
Oh, like a Centaur!
There's so little space in this world for you.
And your soul is too full of candles, little flames –
Dreams!
Like Rigel, they shine brighter than all!
And the abyss – that is...
– it's not your eyes, but you!
And I... Allow me to be Regulus
Or any star you wish for yourself.
All stars are bright,
All stars are people.
From this, they are enchanting,
Just like you, a star!
Your words, your gaze, your touch...
I am not worthy of such luxury,
To be merely near you.
To the point of pain, I greedily bite my lips;
From the desire to speak words,
To reveal myself to your most dangerous,
But so blooming and dear soul,
That, just like your body,
Captivated me, as if I were in darkness,
Sitting and awaiting your commands
About my fate.
And my lines about you burn;
And my hands, my fingers speak,
When I write to you and for you.
But only you are the star.
I am so far from you;
My love for you is small compared to your soul.
Please, descend to me and for me,
To know:
My love, and passion, and heat –
Sing, burn for you...
I feel this for the first time.
And do you remember!? –
You opened your soul to me.
Into your world to enter,
You forgave me, allowed everything.
You showed me your heart.
And I give you mine.
