Locusts
An experimental Japanese chamber-folk piece with daxophone groans and clicks, breathy shakuhachi tones, bright koto plucks, and fiercely picked Tsugaru shamisen. Uneven phrasing and tight pauses create a caught, tense feel; close-miked strings, wood resonance, subtle tape saturation, and short room reverb keep the texture intimate and raw.
